Stratos Framework 1.0rc1 released
Stratos Framework 1.0rc1 is now available for download. This release includes major updates to the framework along with a handful of new features, bug fixes, and performance enhancements. Enhancements include an improved approach to creating action controllers, simplified data objects, data object event functions, automatic data object validation, complete removal of the XML config files, more improvements to the plugin architecture, and a new look-and-feel for the Stratos control panel.

Stratos 1.0rc1 is not backwards compatible with Stratos 0.93. This release begins the 1.0 branch, and all future development on the 1.0 branch will be backwards compatible with this release.

The Stratos Framework

The Stratos Framework is an open-source, object-oriented web application framework that facilitates the rapid development of well-organized, secure, and maintainable PHP web applications. Stratos frees you from working on tedious, routine tasks, and allows you to focus on specific software requirements.

If you have already Installed Stratos, you can get started with development by reading the manual or the tutorials, which walk you through the process of creating a number guessing game, building your own message board, and using Ajax.

You can create a Trac account by clicking the Register link in the menu. It takes about 10 seconds and once you have the user name you can submit tickets, create and modify wiki pages, and post in discussions.

Project Status

Stratos 1.0rc1 should be considered stable. This is the first release of the 1.0 branch, and all future development on the 1.0 branch will be backwards compatible with this release.
